A degree earned the hard way

Earned his BS in Business Administration, Marketing, while working two part-time jobs and carrying a full course load. Along the way he ran a student-founded 501(c)(3), served as VP of the campus tennis club, and was named a Kentucky Colonel — the Commonwealth’s highest honor — by the governor.

First real digital marketing seat

Joined as a PPC Analyst and was promoted to Senior PPC Analyst, running six-figure digital campaigns to acquire students for the agency’s university clients out of Louisville.

MBA, 4.0, while working full-time

Earned his MBA in Marketing and Leadership with a 4.0 GPA — started the program on academic probation. Proof to himself that he has what it takes when he puts his mind to doing something hard.

Promoted from Digital Strategist to Marketing Director, leading six-figure omnichannel campaigns for iconic automotive brands — and presenting at two industry conferences along the way, Digital Dealer in Las Vegas and the Automotive Communications Council in Louisville.

Learned to operate inside a Fortune 25

Started in Member Communications, then moved into Performance Marketing and Channel Activation Strategy — scaling from seven-figure to eight-figure omnichannel campaigns acquiring Medicare members inside a highly matrixed, heavily regulated organization.

Built an in-house team from scratch

Joined Avail Car Sharing (owned by Allstate) as Paid Media Lead and was promoted to Head of Performance Marketing, building and leading an in-house team across paid search, paid social, and programmatic, with full accountability for a seven-figure budget.

Doctor of Business Administration, 4.0

Earned his DBA in Marketing while working full-time. His applied doctoral research examined how management and employees actually adopt AI chatbots inside a retail marketing organization — the question this whole site is now an answer to.

Took full ownership of paid media, A/SEO, lifecycle marketing, marketing analytics, and marketing technology — first as Director of Digital Marketing, then Director of Performance Marketing — while finishing the doctorate on the side.
